Mental Health Advocacy Partnership (MHAP)
Sometimes in our lives it is difficult to express ourselves and get our views across. This is especially troublesome for a person experiencing mental health problems.
An Advocate is a person who can help you to express your opinions and feelings and to inform you of your rights. Our Advocates work in the Mental Health Unit at Basildon and Runwell Hospital, Wickford, as well as in the community.
The role of an Advocate is to empower people with mental health problems within society. The service covers Basildon, Brentwood, Rochford / Rayleigh and Castle Point.
